ABOUT THIS WEEK:
This week was crazy because Tuesday was a federal holiday, and then the rest of the week was canceled due to teacher conferences in the DODDS schools. We follow the DODDS calendar, so that left only one day of school this week! It was really nice to have some down time, actually.
We went on a little field trip on Monday to the city of bad Homburg to meet an American artist named Chazda Albright and see her "Angels" art show. It was a nice trip! Chazda guided us through her paintings and drawings, telling us her process and thoughts along the way, and letting us come up with the meaning for ourselves.
This week Akychame gave us a piano recital at home. She played every single song in her book! She did great. Lvov decided that she likes singing (I have been encouraging her) and we came up with many famous songs that she could sing really beautifully. She gave us a little singing recital.
The kids have both finished The Master Puppeteer and have started reading J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye! This is one of our favorite books; I'm so excited to see how the kids will like it!
